SHE CRAVES FOR PEACE

She craves for peace
Peace from eardumbing music
Peace from suffocating pollution
Peace from conflicts inside.

The daily incidents of murders
Terrorists attacks on innocents
Lives snatched away forcibly
Women forced to die.

The sufferings of old neglected
Greed of elders for property
Partiality among the children
Cunning use of beauty to destroy other’s peace.

Norms of life changing at every step
Talks of traditions varying men to men
Everything is fair for self
Wisdom crushed under ego.

Boasts of honesty by the most corrupt
Advices of regard by the most selfish
Cruelty and lust hidden behind fairness
Feelings of torture behind the tears.

Expectations of womanly behaviour
The sorrows of sisters and mother
The obedience to father and brother
All turned upside down for wives.

Open corruption of leaders and officers
Unnoticed tears of suffering mothers
Pomp of power and money of rich
Stomach full bread to all hungry.

The unheard call of unborn daughters
Mores of men towards women
Unless these find a cure

Perpetually she’ll crave for peace…
