INTO THE LIGHT
(Dedicated to Peggy Zuleika Lynch)

She is a light whose life has taken wing,
A joyful butterfly with smiling face,
Reflecting happiness that makes me sing
And fills me with a sense of God’s own grace.
Her life is all aflutter as she flies
From place to place and touches those she knows
With loving words, compassionate and wise,
To leave a blessing everywhere she goes.
Her friendship carries me into the light
And lifts me into sky of radiant blue.
She opens up my eyes with newfound sight
To see a world that’s filled with brighter hue.
Her life has colored mine with rainbow rays,
And now, like her, I dance through sunlit days.
