Sharma finds the landscape of Vasudhaiva Kutumbkam in the works of Stephen Gill. She says that Vasudhaiva Kutumbkam is a Sanskrit Idiom
which means that the complete world is a one single family. The phrase comes
from Hitopdesha, a collection of Sanskrit fables in
prose and verse that were written in 12th century. The concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbkam can also
be related to the concept of the global village and is similar to that of
African concept of Ubuntu. For details read this fascinating research paper HERE. |
